Riverside County Jail

Good Behavior

Interview with Rod

JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Rod: NO. I GOT OUT EARLY BASED ON THE OVERCROWDING OF THE JAILS IN ALL OF RIVERSIDE COUNTY. AS A WHOLE.

JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Rod: 1/3 OF YOUR TIME, IS CONSIDERED GOOD TIME/ WORK TIME. THEY CALL IT. WHICH MEANS YOU DO 2/3 OF YOUR TIME. IN RIVERSIDE. RIGHT NOW, PEOPLE ARE DOING 10% OF THEIR TIME WHICH MEANS IF YOU GET SENTENCED 90 DAYS, YOU WOULD ACTUALLY SERVE 9 DAYS CREDIT TIME SERVED.

JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off?
Rod: STAY OUT OF TROUBLE. IF YOU ARE NOT A VIOLENT OFFENDER. THAT MEANS IF YOUR CRIMES ARE NOT OF THE VIOLENT NATURE. NO POINTS IN THEIR JAILS, NO FIGHTS, ETC.

My boyfriend is in jail in banning(Riverside County) he was sentenced to 96 days but good time would be 65 days. So you how many days will he actually serve out of the 65? oh hes been in there 3 1/2 weeks.
