Riverside County Jail

Inmates

Interview with Rod

JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates?
Rod: NO. I TRY TO GET ALONG WITH EVERYONE. I DON'T LIKE TO GET IN EVERYONE ELSE'S BUSINESS, BUT, I LISTEN TO OTHERS IF THEY FEEL LIKE TALKING ABOUT THEIR CASES, ETC.

JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Rod: WELL, I USUALLY DO MY TIME IN 2 MAN CELLS 23 HOUR A DAY LOCK DOWN. THEN YOU ONLY HAVE ONE OTHER PERSON TO INTERACT WITH UNTIL DAY ROOM, WHERE YOU ONLY HAVE CONTACT WITH HALF OF YOUR DORM ASSIGNED TO A CURRENT TIME SLOT TO GET OUT OF YOUR CELL FOR A SHOWER AND A CUP OF HOT WATER, AND READ THE PAPER.

JM: Were you able to choose an inmate if you knew one?
Rod: NO. NO. NO. YOU HAVE NO SAY SO, AS TO WHO YOU ARE HOUSED WITH. ACTUALLY, IF YOU ACT LIKE YOU KNOW SOMEONE, THEY PURPOSELY SEPARATE YOU.

What is your fax number so I can fax you the inmate information
